Environmental Site Assessment

Together, let's built the Québec of tomorrow

Phase 1

Phase 1 begins with determining the actual or potential presence of contamination on a site. It establishes the objectives, the structure of the evaluation and investigation work, as well as the current and historical portrait of the site as part of the application of section IV.2.1 of the Act respecting the quality of the environment.

  • Opening of the file
  • Data collection (cartography, aerial photographs, previous studies)
  • Site visit
  • Interview and evaluation
  • Presentation of the report

Phase 2

During phase 2, there is confirmation or refutation of the targeted environmental issue in phase 1, determined by the sampling and analysis program.

  • Planning and execution of a sampling and analysis program
  • Results interpretation
  • Determination of the boundaries of the problem area
  • Presentation of the report

Phase 3

In phase 3, corrective remediation measures are evaluated. This step is determined by the removal of contamination sources, implementing containment, control and monitoring measures. The situation is managed in order to avoid any new sources of contamination in the future.

  • Determination of the scope of correctives measures
  • Research and choices of feasible solutions
  • Contamination management and site valorization
  • Presentation of the report
